Collect what you know
Paste a client message, meeting note or requirement list. Give the project a name.
A client brief in your inbox. Loose ends in your head. ScopeFern helps turn the client's words into a structured starting point for your next project.
Organize your first brief“We need a website for our yoga studio. A schedule, our classes, contact details. We're still discussing the budget. Ideally, it would be ready next month…”

Agree the scope before estimating
A focused software tool for freelancers and small agencies delivering websites and digital projects. Turn an initial client brief into a scope ready for review and discussion.
Paste a client message, meeting note or requirement list. Give the project a name.
The generator detects mentions of budget, timing and audience, then suggests what to clarify.
Edit the draft and download a Markdown document. Review it with the client before starting work.
The available generator uses text rules. Claude API integration is planned and has not been deployed.
We plan to use Claude to interpret unstructured briefs, distinguish requested deliverables from assumptions, flag ambiguous requirements and suggest focused questions before an estimate.
Users would review and edit every suggestion. The product would keep unresolved budget and timing information explicit rather than inventing an agreement.
Draft deliverables, assumptions, exclusions and open questions.
An editable result for discussion with the client, without automated pricing.
Compare results on anonymized briefs, checking missed requirements and invented details.
This version runs locally using text rules, without an AI model. It does not calculate prices or confirm agreements on behalf of your client.
Load the example or paste a brief to see scope items, detected mentions and clarification questions.
Check every item. Questions are suggestions and the scope needs your client's agreement.
The available version organizes briefs locally. The next stage is a freelancer pilot and developing analysis through the Claude API.
ScopeFern is an independent software project based in Poland, built for freelancers and small agencies. The available version organizes briefs, suggests clarification questions and exports an editable document.
Client briefs often leave key decisions open. ScopeFern brings requirements and questions into one document to help discuss deliverables, timelines and responsibilities before estimating.
A small freelancer pilot, followed by evaluating Claude-based analysis. Accounts, payments and AI analysis are not currently available.
The scope generator, editing and Markdown export are free to use without an account. Briefs are processed locally. Accounts, project history, PDF export and AI analysis are planned features.
No. It splits text into items and detects mentions using rules. Semantic analysis through Claude API is planned, not an active feature.
The generator processes it in browser memory. It does not send it to an API, save it in localStorage or store it in a database. Refreshing the page clears the text. Downloaded files stay on your device. Hosting infrastructure may process technical access logs.
No. An optional Claude feature would require sending the submitted text to a server and Anthropic. Before launching it, we would explain that processing, update the data information and provide an explicit user action to start analysis.
It supports a scope discussion. Review the draft, agree the details with your client, and prepare the appropriate estimate or agreement separately.
